Given that you don't seem even to know what the word means, your opinion on the matter is rather worthless.

Sorry, menial paper pushers who are intellectually bullied by the most average of people on the internet are not elitists. It is you that does not understand the word. You are not a member of any kind of elite group. Your opinions are among the most worthless on Apolyton, for christ sake...

It's actually funny that Wikipedia has a sentence in their elitism article that takes into account GePap's usage of the word:

The term elitism is also sometimes misused to denote situations in which a group of people claiming to possess high abilities or simply an in-group or cadre grant themselves extra privileges at the expense of others. This debased form of elitism may be described as discrimination.

                e·lit·ism:
                –noun
                1. practice of or belief in rule by an elite.
                2. consciousness of or pride in belonging to a select or favored group.

                —Related forms
                e·lit·ist, noun, adjective

There, now you don't have an excuse to be ignorant, only the proclavity towards it.

This does not apply to you in any ****ing way. You are completely delusional, not elite.

As a term "Elite" usually describes a person or group of people who are members of the uppermost class of society. Personal attributes commonly purported by elitist theorists to be characteristic of the elite include:

                  * Rigorous study of, or great accomplishment within, a particular field.
                  * A long track record of competence in a demanding field
                  * An extensive history of dedication and effort in service to a specific discipline (e.g., medicine or law)
                  * A high degree of accomplishment, training or wisdom within a given field

None of these apply to you either.

Of course you can get good food out of a slow cooker. I've made some utterly delicious stews (last one being a lamb, apricot, and chickpea stew), chili, and pulled pork from a slow cooker.

It's just a vessel for cooking. You need to use it in the right instances, but it is quite possible to cook very well using it.

It is of course very possible to get beautifully cooked food out of it, and usually it is nice and tender. But getting the herbs, spices and seasoning right is the more difficult art.

I like to taste and add or whatever when I am cooking.

I've cooked pork chops in them. Good stuff.
