Not everyone has the same coverage of this as we have in Canada. I welcome comments, just not ridiculously stupid comments with no bearing on the situation except for perhaps implying that his tattoos played a role in this...

I encourage you to try to make fun of Canadians, playing to Canadian stereotypes or perceived stereotypes based on posters on this site.

But your comment was not an over the top stereotype nor a swipe at a poster here, it was an off-colour comment about a dead victim with obvious implications.

Unless anyone here is in some way personally connected to the victim, I think insulting him is significantly less harmful than insulting something or someone connected to Apolyton. He's dead; we can't hurt his feelings.
