Please, please do not judge Canada on the basis of Calgary.
Calgary is not exactly a tourist hotspot. But at least it is better than... well... maybe Dryden or Sudbury.Comment

I like Jasper over Banff, but both are great. But Jasper is quite a ways from Calgary. As Asher says, tourists often pass through Calgary on the way to the Rockies.
But Calgary itself? Most of us who have lived in Alberta like only one of the two main cities. Edmonton over Calgary for me.
