Who wouldn't love the city with lower income, higher crime, colder temperatures, and a crappier hockey team?

Do you ever wonder why Edmontonians move to Calgary but people from Calgary don't move to Edmonton?

You want space come to Saskatchewan! We pack a million people into an area the size of Texas.

it doesn't take much to beat northern ontario. all they've got there is rocks, snow, and industrial waste.

i think you might be on to something with that. my brother is out there right now, and likes it. Of course, he's been living in rural nova scotia for the last few years.

Re: Calgary tourism...5 million tourists a year come to Calgary, which is over 5 times the city's population. So I think a lot of people's opinions are a bit misinformed...especially my fellow Canadians'.

No, I lived in America before. Which may amount to the same thing.

I was not far from Airdrie, to the north of the city. The houses were on 4.5 acre lots which was pretty awesome for a city girl like me. A cousin was getting married.

Maryland and DC and Virginia. Prices hover at around or just below $4 a gallon there. In Calgary they use the metric system so it took some doing, but I think the final tally was about 4.30 or so in CND, which is roughly the same in USD too. Not a huge jump but noticeable nonetheless.

Not this time sadly. I last went in 1999 just when they had their summer festival, but I have no relatives there so chances of me going back are slim...

What? Calgary's fricken awesome! They have vineyards (YAY ALCOHOL), parks (YAY PUBLIC SEX), and lots of nearby dinosaur fossils (YAY BONERS). What more could a gal want?

                    ...

But now I'm back home and at work. Boo!
