I really don't get the mythologizing of the supposedly glorious Soviet past because by and large the USSR was a repressive ****ty place to live and the second people got a chance to escape it they did. But now we have the neo-fascists running around Russia trying to recreate the beast with pseudo-capitalist influences. It's sad.

The Dolchstosslegende that permeats the whole video, the "midgets laughing behind your back" (read - former Soviet Republics, who dare to have their own countries and opinions now!), Soviet Army beating (and shooting) innocent civilians at the Vilnius TV centre January 13, 1991 to these same "midgets" lyrics, the "everyone eeevil, we are forces of good" supremacist attitude, the "we're surrounded" mentality - all leading to some sort of promise of payback (at least that's how I interpret this).Originally posted by Serb

My ancesters fought and died defending this country not because they were repressed, but because it was their home.
