Yeah, 6 yrs is hard. I hope they find some solution to get her free. But morale of the story, when being guest in a foreign country don't behave as if it's your own.

well if 40 pct Muslims in UK want sharia law here, perhaps famous British diplomacy should argue that they want UK law in the middle east as well as a trade off

It says up to 6 years, so we'll see if she actually gets the max sentence. Some of those charges like assaulting the officer... well, there's not enough info.

Little sympathy here as well though any country where this results half a year in prison is backwards. Still, I'm sure it's less harsh then if it occurred in neighboring Saudi Arabia where anyone publicly professing a faith other then Islam is subject to execution.
