Do you use both shift keys?

The only time I ever used the right shift key was when I am playing some arcade pinball game.

While we're on the topic, what is Alt Gr for? I've never used it.

And who really uses the "windows" key? what a waste of key space!

Huh. The only time I ever use the left shift key is when hitting ctrl-shift-esc.

Oh sweet poll. I only use the left shift. It doesn't slow down my typing at all.
Well actually, on the one keyboard in my room the left shift key broke so I bought a new one since it was so horrible using only the right.

If you have a full-sized keyboard, and the kbd is somewhat centered, then the left hand doesn't have to twist as much to get the shift key.

Me too, especially at work because some genius IT guy decided to restrict access to the show desktop shortcut.

Windows key + desktop is superior when you have lots of one application open, like email.

I dictate my posts to a stenograper (I talk at 250 wpm so it's the only option) who puts them on the internet, I never touch the keyboard.

I use the L-Shift key for letters and the R-Shift key for commands like Shift-Home and Shift-End.
