Do NOT intervene in Belgium. FACT: Every country which has invaded Belgium has been defeated.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power.

Poli****ians finally managed to form an almost Italianesque government consisting of Flemish christian democrats (but they're hardly christian ) who happened to form a cartel with separatist nationalists. Furthermore Flemish liberals, Walloon socialists, Walloon liberals and Walloon christian democrats are in.

Our great leader is called Yves Leterme (Flemish christian democrat). You know him from the following story: when asked by Walloon news reporters if he could sing the Brabançonne (our national anthem) he started to sing the Marseillaise (French anthem).

He also didn't know why our national holiday was celebrated on july the 21st. That's not that bad, given the fact that nobody really knows that around here. (For the fanatics: that's when Leopold I, the first king, took the oath).

The coverage about the incident is very manipulative and quite unethical from a journalistic point of view, as French speakers might find out by watching it here:

Seriously, best solution ever is to turn Brussels into an EU D.C. and then partition the rest by language.

That's not looking that unlikely, after all, neither half really has a complete claim over Brussels...

Ooh... wow. Of course, for a long time Romania had a minority government that held like a quarter of the seats in parliament and was smaller than the largest opposition party (When coalitions collapse, but no one actually wants elections...)

I always thought that solution was the most elegant, but somehow I doubt it would ever actually happen.

This time the territory will be left over from the linguistic break-up.
