I'm a Democrat, and I thought what Clark has done with McCain's military record was stupid - I do NOT want Democrats taking this up in any manner.
Clark did not impugn McCain's service. Suggesting otherwise is lazy and intellectually dishonest.

I'm just surprised that NPR would choose to pwn an Obama surrogate, given the opportunity.

      That's a little off-script.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Yeah, but what would we talk about if we didn't all pretend this was serious?

I wonder, will the McCain campaign denounce Sen. McCain for saying "‘I Absolutely Don’t Believe’ Military Service Alone Qualifies Somebody For President" and attacking McCain as a surrogate for Obama?

BUT looking at the recent polls (yes I know it's still way to early) and they're really looking bad for McCain.
It's not too early to tell. There aren't as many swing voters as the media is saying there are. Over the last few decades voters have because more devoted to a single party.
