  • Our local gay pride festival!

Well today (Saturday) was our local Quad Cities gay pride festival held in Davenport, at the fairgrounds. I had put in a lot of volunteer hours the day before, and today, during our festival.

Our very first, annual gay pride festival went well for our area - over 900 people came for the live music entertainment, food, beverages, socialization, and to visit the booths of various organizations. The leaders in organizing this event said they were going to be happy if they just broke even with expense of festival from ticket purchases from at least 400 people -- we went far beyond our minimal goal and will come out way ahead, financially.

I'm confident that from here on, our gay pride festival will only get better with each succeeding year. We had one problem though -- we were really understaffed for volunteers but in spite of that, things went reasonably well due to everyone's tremendous efforts.

I volunteered with a leader of OneIowa at that organization's booth. OneIowa is the state's largest glbt civil rights organization, which includes advocacy for equal marriage protection in ways that include reaching out to moderate Iowan voters without alienating them with radical confrontation. We got about 110 petitions from festival patrons today that will go to Iowa representatives.

Get some self esteem. Do you really need gay festivals to feel good about boinking some guy in the ass, which by the way is like masturbating only less animals do it naturally? Please come back when you are done partying like Aeneas' victims, I am all out of time for your coddle seeking ego jizzing all over the forum

Wiggly Puff would feel better if someone would just give him a fresh, hot dicking.
The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.

Yeah I bet you had some really popular "booths" where there was lots of "socialization" and spilled "beverages."

Quad Cities!!! That's where it is?

Have you ever gone to any Quad City Flames games? I was wondering where that actually was.

You gotta keep me up to date on how our prospects are doing.

                              900 people? That sucks.

The Toronto **** march alone got 20,000 today. And no one goes to that.

Tomorrow's the real thing, the real pride. Who knows how many people go.

Last numbers I've seen, 1.2 million people lined the streets for the Pride Parade alone in Toronto. They close 12 city blocks for it.
