The point is that Gerald Ford was the only President who was unelected to either the office President or Vice President. All other Presidents who took over someone else's term, were elected as VP (which despite Cheney's claim, is part of the executive.) The trivia is knowing that Ford was appointed by Nixon after his VP resigned to know to pick him from all the other VPs who took of asomeone else's term.

CORRECTION

I have just realized I erred in the above question. There is, in fact, one and only one team in each of the four leagues that has never made the playoffs. (I had forgotten about the then-Montreal Expos making the playoffs in the 1981 strike season. Thus, the Washington Nationals are not a correct answer.)

Any teams in the NFL that don't exist anymore at all instead of just a name change? Cause wouldn't the name change rule out a team beacuse it's still basically the same team the name was just changed.
