This sounds like a Charlie Chaplin gig with a reduced supporting cast - but without the interspersed message cards.

"I didn't expect anything less from them. It's just a matter of when I go see their latest masterpiece."

That has nothing to do with the hideous rotten tomatoes or worldwide gross. The company has made some abysmal movies, and if you watched cars without thinking about its rotten tomato score or gross, you'd probably agree.

The robot looks too much like that damn 80s robot from the movie I don't remember- the robot that was a military unit, got zapped, and then had instant ET personality. Hard for me to want to see this film.
OTOH, I have a lot of free time now. Maybe I'll watch it.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

It's Johnny 5, not Johnny5, please check your facts prior to mislabeling robots and movie characters in the future.

Grown-ups watch Pixar movies? I didn't even know until I saw this thread.
                    Unbelievable!

Actually it's S-A-I-N-T Prototype Number 5. Johnny 5 is his nickname, you ********. I'm going to war with you over this.

                        Loved The Incredibles.
                        Finding Nemo was good.
                        Cars was OK, not great.
                        I really enjoyed Monsters Inc.
                        Ratatouille was very good.

I've never actually saw Toy Story, toy Story 2, or A Bug's Life. I think that's all of them.

WALL-E looks like it's well worth seeing, but has to wait in line behind Iron Man on the priority list.

I just saw it. This is a mini-review I wrote for another message board:

WALL-E - 9/10: Absolutely incredible! Top notch animation and a very fun love story, with some big political/social issues in the background. A great satire on environmentalism, modern consumerism, the big box stores (ie, Wal-Mart, I don't think the name of the movie is totally coincidental), even the cruise industry. Just hits it out of the park. I think its the best movie I've seen all year.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
                          - John 13:34-35 (NRSV)

A satire of Walmart is not exactly original or interesting.

Suck it down shirley, the reality is that it's not Johnny5 it's Johnny -space- 5, and you made this mistake like five times and now are avoiding the issue.
