Politics used to be the main reason I came here since most other political sites seemed to be all from one side or the other where as poly used to have a good cross section.
There's less honesty here than there was five years ago. Part of it is that the major parts of conservatism are becoming increasingly indefensible given the events of the last five years, so few people are willing or able to take the time to do so, and have decided to conduct personal vendettas instead.

They are not mutually exclusive as you seem to think they are. There are aggressive acts, and passive aggressive acts, and performing one type does not make performing the other type impossible.

That's funny because I've gotten several PMs, including from administrators who usually prefer to be banning me, saying they quite enjoy it. Maybe you don't have a sharp sense of humour, but others do. That said, it's only for a week (the name).

Various things. The most common would be when you are moderated for some infraction, you often fall back to some form of passive aggressive continuation of the infraction, just in perhaps a technically "legal" manner. (Other times you end up banned.)
It's not like passive aggressive is a necessarily bad thing. I am passive aggressive quite often, using word plays or sarcasm to make a point that I don't expect the (specific) reader to even realize I am saying, rather than just to explicitly state whatever sentiment I am expressing. It can be fun for me, and generally speaking, no harm done.
