Probably the same reason why badass mother****ers get all the women they want. Criminals are attractive, boorish do-good men aren't!

What you've written does not have a component of the "bizarre" and completely inexplicable, which is what I was pointing out.
You fail it.
Yup, that kind of behavior is common and ordinary in India. Duh!

Not bizarre? How in hell can India be the second most populated country with this idiocy going on?
ACK!
This is why India will not surpass China. While China may have bigger issues in Human Rights, India has bigger issues with Human Dignity.

It is the mind of the woman, the darkness of the soul, the desire of Goddess of the self, to confront and join the dance of the macabre. It is this desire that will forever torment women and therefor men. It is this relation to the dance of the macabre, that will break the spirit of a man, as it has a transitive relation to the woman and her desire.
It is not the man who is in her sights. It is the Goddess of the self, the overpower of the light against darkness. It is this exact same desire that dominates the mind of the woman, who sees not the object, but the potential. Even so, the potential is still yet not the sight, it is not the aftermath, the victory over darkness. It is the selfish desire to free herself from the feeling of being weak, it is the release of the venus in self, to challenge Mother Nature, to be the mother.
This emotion of nurturing, it is not to be mixed with young life, it is the giving of birth to the dead, the already born and expired ones, to be more exact, the resurrection of the Good. This emoiton of nurturing is embedded in women, it has been perpetuated on women from the stories of Adam and Eve, the apple, the snake and the tree. It is the attempt to correct the wrong, to puke out the apple, to turn back time, to apologize the man.
It is not the act itself, to turn evil back to good, it is the desire to wash away the sin of the woman, the inner satisfaction, the necessity of the woman to feel pure and not the whore, the dirty, the weak-minded and the guilty one. But the truth is, in every mother, there lives a whore inside. It is the duality of the woman. As is the duality of man: the provider and the murderer and the rapist. The maker of whores.
This is not to be misinterpreted as misogynist ideas, this is the manifestations of the whore inside of the woman, to set herself free by slaying the beast that is inside this Austrian man. The desire to be the knight, the dragon slayer, the hero and the King. But God gave the penis to a man for a reason.
Now, excuse me for I have a letter to write. For some reason I can't get the dungeon quite right.

So, women standing by husbands who kill their daughters because a bunch of shallow neighbors don't like who their daughter ran off with is not twisted???
We don't know what the women think in this case. AFAIK, only the men of the village were interviewed.
"Nobody would drink water in our house," Sunita's mother Roshni is reported to have said. "My daughter's action made us aliens in our own land. But we have managed to redeem our honor. She paid for her ill-gotten action."
So we disregard this entirely? The reporter apparently felt the statement credible enough to quote it.
As for the shallow neighbours thing - it's not as simple as that. Sure, the neighbours were shallow. But in a tiny village, where every single thing in your life depends on what is your standing in the immediate community, being ostracised for your daughter's actions is tough, and is a huge deal. It doesn't justify murder, of course, but it's not what you make it out to be, either.
In fact, the whole thins is pretty tragic. Prejudiced neighbours, stupid daughter, stupid parents.
I don't know how that is less twisted than writing love letters to incestuous whacko like this.

I provided an analysis of why this is, in fact, perfectly understandable given how humans are.
You, on the other hand, provide a simple statement of negation. No counterexamples, no counter-arguments, no reason, nothing. Just "No".
Well, if this is how you're going to post, how can there be a discussion?
Because you didn't provide an analysis of why it is perfectly understandable... you just rehashed the fact of misogyny where the man thinks the woman is property. Human are not naturally like that as evidenced by how far Western Civilization has come.
I mean, really, by that status, one can say that slavery is perfectly understandable "given how humans are", when it has nothing to do with how humans are, but everything to do with certain humans wanting to control everything.
Furthermore, I'm at a loss as to how you think this can be understandable, but can't see how women wanting to "fix" a horrible man isn't? Isn't the social stereotype that women are drawn to broken men because they want to nuture and care for him and are drawn to him as a result of their maternal instinct?
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)
No, these women don't want to fix the bastard, they think he's "misunderstood" or some such BS, and that the enslaved daughter really loved him and having children by him but should have been allowed to go shopping and stuff.
