  • Best French Beer?

I like a good biere de garde which is normally brewed in north east France which is the only part of France where wine grapes do not grow so people have normally drunk beer instead. I'm not to familiar with French beer as a whole though so I am seeking advice. Which French beer is best?

I never even thought about French beer. I'll be interested in this, too. I never heard, or noticed, any of them.

        Seriously:

Never heard about french beer; and I have several french friends! (I'll spoke about it next time I see them).

Did you try these beers: (there are not french... but quebecker's are mainly french speaking...

Unibroue: La fin du monde or (http://www.unibroue.com/products/fin.cfm)
Unibroue: La Blanche De Chambly? (http://www.unibroue.com/products/blanche.cfm)

La fin du monde is my favorites Quebecker's beer.

I've only had Fischer and Kronenbourg before. I have to say I like Fischer's Blonde best of the those two though it doesn't seem to have a lot of taste.

I've tried several of Unibroue's beers and found Fin du Mode to be to syrupy tasting though the high alcohol continent was indeed nice. Haven't had it in the last year or two though.

My beer of choice is the St-Ambroise. I drink it all the time. Hell, I wish I had one right now. The best rated beers in Quebec are from Dieu du Ciel. I never tasted them, though.

Beer from Quebec. They make some awesome microbrews there.

I've only ever had Kronenbourg, which was drinkable but nothing special. I guess I've always assumed that "best French beer" was one of those categories like "best Russian wine" or "best Japanese cheese" -- something's got to claim the title, but who really cares what it is?

The biggest beer I've ever seen is a yard of beer though the diameter of the glass was very small.

Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

                            Most invalid poll ever.

Sir, you know nothing about beer.

Pietra, is the best French beer imo. Trois-monts is awesome too....and they are not even in the poll, even though they are exported beers from France.

I am not a beer drinker, so I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that it's not the aural senses that are stimulated by the product.
