tx; what is making me proud, it was done on a 300$ camera bought in 2005.

          I can take photos too

I went out on a field day with a friend, he was The Photographer, I was just the accompanyee. His photo's turned out ****. It took him about 1-5 minutes to take ONE shot. I just look at the scene, set the settings to how I want to take the photo, look through the lens, say "yep" and click.

Below are my favourite of the ones I took:

My favourite. I like the epic clouds and lighting.

In the distance is this massive construction site, for new mall, hotels and commercial buildings. Singapore is insane sometimes.

For anyone who might be interested, this is what they are constructing:

I'll be back to talk about photos later today but I have one minute to type and all I can say is that this development above in Singapore is INSANE!!

That's amazing! Those are no ordinary rooftop gardens! But is the project actually going to get off the drawing board. So many worthwhile projects never take off.

It will be complete in 2010, it's called the Marina Bay Sands. (Yeah, Sands, the one from Las Vegas).

                      Construction has already started, see:

                      Some more renders:

Ironically, there is something even greater being constructed just across the bay on an Island, also to open in 2010.

                      Singapore
Singaporean women (depending on what you want)
                      Singapore Transportation

btw, that circular flower type shape from Star Trek sorta construction is actually an auditorium, you will be able to sit on those "petals". It's also a museum.

sorry to take over your thread, got carried away there..

Makes me even more frustrated that Toronto never undertakes projects of this magnitude!

Those crooks at city hall...stalling everything!

Well, re photos and photoshop, the question is what do you want in the end, being a good photographer or a good graphics guy. Not to judge anything, but if you constantly do lots of photoshopping to enhance pics then you're are certainly moving away from the photography part. It's also the question if you prefer more realism or want a more "dramatic" or "better" (whatever this would mean) look at all costs, even if this means you add something to a pic that never has been there in the first place. Again that's not to judge anything, since all these approaches are fine IMO, just something worthy to consider me thinks.

                          Just my 2 cents.

                            Exactly Bebro, my thoughts exactly.

                            My strengths lie in Photoshop.
