Except that my ill-will towards her is borne out of her nasty personality. What goes around comes around.

Hers is aggressive, proactive spite, whereas mine is only passive, reactive spite...
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

        • She ran a great race. Went farther than any woman has even gone. It's a proud moment for women as well.

          • She did go further then any woman ever has (baring Ferraro who was actually on a Presidential ticket) and I have to give her credit for that. I just don't like her tactics.

            • Ferraro was a VP nominee... I give more credit for coming within a hair of the Presidential nomination.

Wow, that sounds patronising even for you...

I guess it just goes to show how backwards and chauvinistic your politics is in the US if you think that.

I thought she made women look bad personally, I guess we can count ourselves lucky that there are plenty of able and capable women in the rest of the World.

So I've been wondering how disgusted bigoted Catholic voters and bigoted Protestant fundamentalist voters were, with McCain's appearance on the talk show, Ellen??

                        • It occurs to me that a woman candidate who ran a really, really close race and then reacts in a responsible, adult manner to her narrow defeat is a better boost for feminism than one who sticks her fingers in her ears and does the "lalalalalalala I can't hear you" thing. Being strong enough to lose with dignity

There are many other qualified female politicians out there, and I think this race demonstrates that, should one or more of them care to run in the future, they've got a legit shot. They just have to run a better campaign (or be up against a lesser opponent, as the case may be). They can (and likely will, when the time comes) give some thanks to Hillary for her run this year, for demonstrating that it can be done.

                            • This is a proud day for American white male chauvinists, the US of A will now certainly have a white old male president just as God intended.

                              • It was funny reading the letters in the CHI TRIBUNE this morning. There were a few women that wrote that if he doesn't choose Hillary for the VP spot they're going to vote for McCain. That's just silly. But of course we are discussing women here. *runs for cover*
