  • DNC decides 1/2 vote for Florida and Michigan

I listened to the first half of it but not really the second, and of course not the secret backroom meeting, which was used to determine the fate of the delegates, and I think the super delegates, who will meet in another secret backroom meeting to decide who to nominate.

What happened re: Michigan 'undecied' votes? Will Obama get all of the non-Hillary votes?

No, that's just the Pensacola delegation.

I listened to the 1st hour. The Florida rep presented an interesting case based on the language of the Charter ("shall be seated"), but I didn't get to hear counterarguments.

            So does Obama still "clinch"?

No, this is going to Denver - where ideally the will of the majority of voters is heard and Hillary gets nominated (since she now officially leads in the popular vote).

You can't include MI in any popular vote contest unless you give Obama the 'undecided' vote, which would give him back the lead.

I would assume the deal that made this possible had a caveat that prevented Hillary from winning the nomination (or was made knowing she would not win). Anything else will be a disaster for the Dems.

Because all those hispanic and older voters in Michigan who voted undecided instead of Edwards really want Obama?

Same with the Muslim voters...I don't know any Muslims that actually like Obama.

Honestly, the Dems ****ed themselves a year ago when there were no governors running. That would have been the sure bet, but no, they put up a bunch of people with no real leadership skills and a lot of things to be attacked on.
