What do you say about morality at an interview?

No, workers that are thieves or tolerant of thieves are clearly not what the company would want.

But the question isn't designed to elicit answers on thievery. In my experience the red flag point was a bit overstated as it's hardly a terrible answer, but nonetheless the answer Rah gave would score higher.

I'm a scientist, so morals dont come up in interviews (IMO most of us dont have any).

"Animal models are required for the study of important questions in medicine so I have no problems with that."

Yet somehow we tend to wind up doing less evil things than most people of our level of education.

I would argue we have ethics, not the kind of ethics people would consider moral, but we, unlike other people at least stick to our own ethical (private) code.
