Not just armor, but also air power, and naval, and Venezuela has close to 283,000 soldiers, iirc.
That only if you count the F-16s (which as mentioned are not operable) and the paramilitary forces which are useless unless Colombia plans on invading Venezuala.

If you look at the actual units, their navies are equivalent for the most part.

Colombia only just bought the air forces equivalent to Venezuela's, so it's not likely their pilots will be very effective any time soon.

Oh, and you are forgetting all those blackhawks the US has given Colombia in order to make their units fast air mobile infantry.

CIA say 87k and wiki says "about 100k". These are active duty numbers of course just as I gave active duty numbers for Colombia as well. Both countries have reserves of course but I think you'll find Colombia maintains several hundred thousand man lead once you count reserves for both countries.

You have that backwards, Venezuale just bought their aircraft from Russia after the planes they had experiance and knowledge in, F-16s, were no long viable to them.

Colombia also has the advantage of being trained by the worlds best air force. Venezuala has the Russians...

A series of photos allegedly found on the laptops of Raúl Reyes, the FARC leader killed when the Colombian government bombed and raided a FARC encampment across the Ecuadoran border, appear to have actually been taken by Colombian intelligence agents—or by allied police or intelligence agents—in Quito, Ecuador.

Venezuela's had it's Russian jets for several years. Colombia only just bought jets to match the Sukhois this year.

So amid all the rubble of a thoroughly bombed out camp, 8 computers or computer parts are found completely undamaged. The Colombian government holds them for 9 days. There are 4,000 files with future dates on them.

And Oerdin expects us to believe there's been no tampering.

From Interpol, "The accuracy and source of the user files contained in the eight seized FARC computer exhibits are and always have been outside the scope of INTERPOL's computer forensic examination."

Of course, all this takes away from the fact that Colombia illegally bombed and invaded another country's territory to assassinate a team of FARC leaders that were in negotiations with Colombia to have a prisoner exchange.

What kind of prisoners were those again? I recall hearing that Betancourt is sick and in dire need of medical attention. Of course, it's better for FARC to hold her in the jungle, than to have allowed her to run for office and let the people of Colombia have a free and fair election.

If FARC would just shoot the DEA and let the innocent people go free, then I wouldn't hate them so much.

As far as the damaged hard drives go, forensic teams can do amazing stuff.

Also computers are pretty small. I'm not surprised some survived.

Good shooting and good riddance, I say.

In exchange for 300 million dollars, I am glad you caught that part.

Colombia has never had free and fair elections.

Nor did I claim the hard drives were damaged. What I said is that the computers were completely undamaged in a scene where everything else was destroyed.

According to the Colombian fake evidence.

Of course not. FARC's been busy murdering and kidnapping candidates they disagree with for decades.

Quick question - what is it about Betancourt that your comrades found so vile they couldn't resist the urge to kidnap her and hold her in the jungle for years?
