Damnit, need to buy a bluetooth adaptor for my laptop so I can get the photos off my phone of my cat. Big, lazy brute he is, I'd love to have a cat at uni but I would never be able to look after it Alas, I'll have to wait til I finish uni in 4 years if everything goes to plan.

But those ferrets look really cute, as do all those cats (apart from Mary, whom has a pretty apt description from that photo).
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

Indy the tail-less wonder who thinks he's a dog. Drinking from the toilet, chewing on my shoes, playing fetch, and eating table scraps, no matter what they are (and there are plenty with a toddler in the house)...

And Cosette, the protection cat, who is 3 ft tall, 4 ft long, weighs over 40 lbs, and won't let ANYONE outside the immediately family inside the house. We have to lock her up when we have a babysitter come. I once got home to find Talia crying in her crib with Cosette under it, and a babysitter and my son bearing the marks of Cosette's fury. (The babysitter had tried to send my son in to chase Cosette out so she could get to the baby.)

                    Shadow is awesome.

I've had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish and birds.

But most of all, I have always wanted a pet squirrel. But I suppose they're not easy to keep, what is the reason?

Squirrels are great. One of evolutions best designs!

FrostyBoy, My first recollection of "older boys" teaching me facts was when I was probably 3 or 4 years old. I remember this very clearly. First I learend, that squirrels are dangerous because if they bite your finger, their jaws lock so they'll bite it off. And that they like to bite fingers.

Secondly, I learned my first poem. "Ladies and Gentlemen, you fart and smell". This, of course, rhymed in my native language. I was proud to present it to my mother. I'm sure she was proud of me as well.

No Squirrels in New Zealand, so I wouldn't have learned that growing up.

A shame. What if we file their teeth down? And slap them every time they bite. I wonder if they would learn to stop doing it.

They file them down themselves. Their teeth, however, do not ever stop to grow.
