Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

You're clearly still searching for a father figure.

Incorrect. I'm searching for one with lots of money.

I'm sure if you wanted to, you could facebook me.

Even if the main image there isn't me.

You could also do an advanced search and find my image, I uploaded one here.

I'm now planning to volunteer at the Iowa equal marriage booth at our local Gay Pride festival.

                  What's the point, MrFun?

You're not going to get any open minded people who'll change their mind.

I don't think gay people should get married.

They'll stop being gay and be angry and hateful to each other all the time, occasionally having hot make-up sex in between sessions of rage.

I thought the whole purpose of marriage was the propensity for makeup sex.

So you're saying my entire premise is wrong?

Huh. Thanks for putting me straight on that regard.

Yeah -- sometimes I think that there are too many gay men who are either apathetic about equal marriage rights or are negatively cynical about it: "Why should we care about equal rights to be as miserable as married heteros?"

They don't understand how equal marriage rights struggle is directly tied with other civil rights issues.

Actually, I don't see it that way. I'm negatively cynical about the institution, but I'm all for allowing any gay person to legally get married.

If they really want to throw their life away like that. As well as their credit rating.

Our local gay community, Wilton Manors, the 4th largest gay community in the U.S., decided to split up the parade and street festival this year. So I have to be at an AFL-CIO meet and greet the night of the parade, but I'm gonna try and have a booth at the street festival for my campaign.
