    Really liked it.

It was good, but not great. Better than "Temple of Doom" (obvious, though). Not as good as the others. Lots of fun action... a somewhat crazy background idea (but one that has conspiracy theories behind it). Probably about a half hour too long, but it was awesome to see Indy again.

And I think it was obvious that this is the last one (part of the long length was wrapping things up a bit).

I agree. Not as good as the originals. But not altogether horrible either. I do think the plot is a bit more fanciful and far fetched than the others. It wasn't even resolved or explained all that well.

Now, I haven't seen the movie yet, but... really? Really?

The plot of this one is more far fetched than a magic gold-plated box that contains face-melting, electric spirits that only attack if you look at them?

More than a bunch of rocks that glow when you put them together and allow someone to say a few magic words and rip out someone's still beating heart with their bare hands?

More far fetched than a vessel that grants eternal life that only works in a specific room, surrounded by vessels that kill instantly?

It wasn't even resolved or explained all that well.

                Well, it was "religious".

                Just not "Christian".

                  1. Indy 3
                  2. Indy 1
                  3. Indy 4 (would be tied with Raiders if the topic was a tad less crazy)

                    • I liked it. You accept in your mind that "this could never really happen, it's just a plot for a movie" and watch the action. Certainly no worse than Temple of Doom, plotwise.

Hmm, no worse than my least favorite one. Gee.

Ditto for me. And even though I haven't actually seen 4 yet, I think it still has to rate above 2. Heck, even Indiana Jones and the Little Green Men from Mars would be better than Temple of Doom.

Well, IIUC, that mongrel-idiot Lucas wanted to do Indiana Jones and the Saucer Men from Mars after the Last Crusade, but Spielberg told him he was a ****** and wouldn't let him do a sequel for like 20 years.
