This website is a piece of crap, it gave me 16/100. I guess it only works for the US.

It only works for places that have a large library of store locations built up in Google Maps. Which is almost but not quite the same thing.

I put in my Phils address and got zilch. I guess no chain stores nearby.

But, I'm so relaxed living here that I care not.

          65 is about right.

But there has NEVER been a mugging in my neighborhood. Also, there are no sex offenders anywhere near by.

Sounds to me like I have the perfect neighborhood to go for a walk.

Donegeal, how would you find out if there's a sex offender nearby?

85/100. I live in downtown Montreal, so I walk a lot. A car would be more a pain in the ass than anything else. But the test obviously doesn't take into account the crack heads and all the bums.

                      How walkable is your neighborhood?

                      Very. Anywhere at any time.

But the test is wack. It says 0....Groicery store at 25.95km away...Wtf...We have everything within 900m. Pharmacy, IGA (grocery store ) video store, gas, garage, name it.

Oerdin commented on my being in suburban hell when I actually have an urban address. There is plenty within walking distance of my place so my score of 12 was surprising. That said, I don't care one way or the other. Walking is for people w/o cars.

                                49/100

However, they make me go to a hotel downtown as the nearest grocery store (which would be about 1min. walk in reality).
For coffee I have to cross half my town (I live next to the university, so guess how many coffee shops I have close by...)
I go to the cinema at the Ludwig Boltzman Institute ( ), the infrastructure of my town is so good that the nearest school is in suburbia. Thankfully they knew that I'm a historian and directed me to our library - what a good system that they managed to skip the main library, which is half the distance. I buy my books at snowreporter telecommunications at the other side of town (their variety in poetry is fascinating) and buy my cloths at our ultra progressive European thematic cinema (they probably sell jute sacks as clothes, at least this is what most of their audience seems to wear).

                                Overall, this was good fun.
