They've got that, and it addresses Scottish interests at English expense. What you're inadvertantly arguing for is for Scotland's rights to pay its own bills.

Are you sure that's traditional? I suspect the idea of the quarrelsome Scots is a myth. If you're looking for places that have had really nasty civil wars, Scotland isn't really the first place to look.

Shh pudding. I like my stereotypes. Besides, the English aren't any better.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

I don't know anything about this guy, but he can't be worse than Livingstone. That guy praised a islamist who defends terrorism and murder on civilians.
