On average yes but really the score needed for any branch is so low it is a joke. On a 100 point test you only need 36 to get into the Air Force but with optional wavers the score can go as low as 21. Pathetic, and all branches are in the same boat right now.Originally posted by SlowwHand

Last I heard the Army required 32, the navy 30 and the Marines only 24. Any way you look at it they're all willing to take ********* who can barely score 30% on a test of basic skills where they give you 10% just for getting your name and social security number correct. Honestly, if you don't score at least a 98% on that test you're a drooling idiot.
Oh, and all branches have the "up or out" system where if you don't make a certain rank by a certain amount of time you get booted out. Also advancement in the service is basically a function of if you can find an open slot or not so of course it is hard to move up in the smaller services and quicker to move up in the larger services (more opening mean more opportunities to move up).Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.Comment
