Not that I know of, but I'm sure there are some around.

There's a UC in San Marcos nearby, but it's inland and I don't know if it's that great a school. (Though I do meet a lot of girls who go there... in fact everyone I've met from UCSM has been female...)

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

I have heard that you see the beach outside the windows...

It is as tough to get into as MIT I think.

Only because the UC's give preference to California residents.

Not to say D.C isn't the most important, but any argument that supposes the United States would need some sort of Congressional Vote, Pentagon genius, or even a Presidential order, to respond to a nuclear attack is foolish.

Since the nuclear destruction of any American City would probably lead to the nuclear destruction of the capital and all other major and minor cities from wherever it came from and perhaps the allied cities of both sides in the conflict it seems that most of the list would get knocked off. Therefore, if you wanted to look at the most important city in a time frame of more than 24 hours past the first city being destroyed, it might not even be on your list.

In the first 24 hours, I would think the capital of the strongest military in a time of world war is probably the most important city and the capital of the city that attacked it is probably number 2.

BTW - thank God for no bananas.
