We're not talking about the vast majority of prostitutes. We're talking about women who have other options. My feeling is that making prostitution illegal suppresses the entry of these women into prostitution a lot more effectively than it suppresses the entry of poor drug addicts into prostitution.

Equating the two groups is ridiculous. It's like equating people who are unemployed and homeless with trust-fund kids. One group simply chooses not to work because they don't have to. The other doesn't work because often they're crazy or drug addicts. Trying to figure out trust-fund kids by looking at the people who ask me for change on the street is silly.

Seriously, I know/have known plenty of women who would sleep with pretty much anyone. For example, I am friends with some guys who frequent strip clubs (we're bar regulars at a local bar), and they tell me stories about going home with strippers. I believe them because the few times I've been with them, I've seen it happen.

Also, I've run into a few girls in my time who are out to have a good time, get drunk, and go home with someone.

Point is, yes, most women are just as sluttish as men are. They're just a little bit touchier about it and don't want to admit it.

Some women are as sluttish (or more!) than men. Most women are not. It is a male fantasy that they are, but once you stop ****ing off to pornos and meet real live women who don't remove their clothing for a living, you start realizing that women are more complex than men in this regard, and expect more committment from men than the reverse...

OK, yes, there's more to sex to (most) women than there is to (most) men. However....it is my experience that a lot of what contributes to this is the fact that they think they will be judged as "whores" by other women. I'm probably over-generalizing, but I think it's fair to say that the majority of women will have no strings attached sex (ie, one night stands), or have a "friends with benefits" type situation just as easily as men will, given the right circumstances (and I don't mean get them drunk first).

Also, snoopy, I'm not into porn, and the very few times I go to strip clubs, I'm mainly just going to hang out with the guys I'm with, not to look at naked chicks. If I really wanted to drop $20/lap dance, with the hope of buying enough lap dances = a blow job in the men's room, I'd just go downtown around midnight, trolling bars until I found one of the aforementioned women who are out looking to hook up.
