    Yes and yes. I got through the later years of school running a networking business. I also started a computer hardware business (selling specialized video capture cards) that folded after a couple of years.

    Starting a business is fun and challenging. It is always hard work and the pay's not always the best or steady, however.
    I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt.         Yes, but it was merely to improve my income in my main job, it was never intended to replace that job. In hindsight, I shouldn't have founded it, because all it did was branching off hard earned money for the government. Following this thought, I closed the business a few weeks ago.
