It makes you sick sometimes, doesn't it? Hyeenas masturbating on a potential scandal that isn't there, yet you'll make it a scandal so you .. well have stories and make money. I think it's preverted that media as an independent player is seen as the corner stone of free press/speech and so forth and isn't controlled by politicians so it's a good thing. I agree it's a good thing, but it becomes part of the problem these days. Not only does it work as the repeating machine of politicians in some situations and disregards everything else on purpose, it sometimes plays politics. It actually does politics in scale that is ridiculous. It has too much of a self interest to make up stuff that it actually does it. This isn't journalism that should be the ideal of free press and so forth, it is the bastard child of entertainment news that twists the knowledge of people and what the current issues are. It's mostly the things they don't say that matters, but sometimes it's the thing they say that makes it so obvious it makes me sick.
We have this "scandal", where our foreign minister has sent some naughty SMS message to some bimbo blond. Let me say it again, it's not some self respecting woman who has recieved messages and is going for her own, it's a slut who wants to make waves. It's nto even the kiss and tell type of people we're talking about, it's pure slut, period.
So does that make a huge difference, factually no. The minister did send the messages. However, it's been blown out of proportion. The tabloids have crap like "the minister is not going to resign". The placement and choosing of the wordings are interesting. They're nothing but hyping it up with an agenda to blow it bigger and to hopefully have the minister resigning, because that would be the biggest news then. This is basically self interest motivated "reporting".
First it wasn't that interesting, but you keep it in the headlines for few weeks. Nothing comes up so you make stories like calling the minister and "are you going to have a divorce?" so then you can amke a story about "minister is not going to divorce her wife" and then call the wife up and same ****. You soon realize there are unlimited amount of crap you can do so that's what you do.
You place questions like "the trust is gone?" as in if it represents the current situation. Bored? Can't get any friction? Have a poll! The great inventions of the satanist the 21th century. Soon you'll have everything you needed to drum up what you want and keep it going for few more weeks. OF COURSE it's a scandal soon because you keep making the waves, the actual event was close to meaningless.
Man I hate these hyeenas. Not because they make ****ty stories but because they're becoming the disrupting force of just about anything. It's not reporting, it's creating scandals these days. That's not healthy and that definitely has nothing to do with democracy, except trashing the idea of it. It wouldn't matter normally, since tabloids carry no real power and people recognize it as crap, but when you have few big tabloids and people actually mix them up with real news and in fact it is the only source of news for many.... you see the problem? It's totally screwed up.
I hate trash media. It would be OK if they were marginalized, but since they're the key players now and otehrs are being marginalized, it's not really that funny. I'd like to punch few of these "journalists"/pornographists in the face and break their faces for making us all a bit more dumb every single day.
