135-140 mph on a road heading north from Crater Lake. Oregon. We left the lake at dawn and maybe a half hour later we came to the top of a hill looking down on a road that just went for miles straight as an arrow thru a thick forest. The sight was so inspiring we let that ol Mercedes 280 SE 4.5 out and yippy. Looking back we were lucky, all it would take to wipe us out was a rabbit or skunk hitting a tire.Comment
