Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
In America, you get rewarded for creative and innovative ideas like mine.
This is a ****ing retarded statement since your plan devastates the entertainment industry and stifles the marketplace. The reason laws allow creative control over the distribution of intellectual property is to ensure that creative ideas are rewarded. Without this legally protected control, internet losers and other low lifes drive good entertainment out of the market.
The average IQ on this forum must be very low for this sort of crap to fly. If I'm super clever and stealthily rappel into your house and take everything of value, should I be compensated as well

Now now, let's keep the ad hominems to a minimum. You have failed to address my brilliant idea for ad revenue sharing. Also, your examples deprive me of physical property. If you were to rappel into my house, duplicate all of my stuff, and share the revenue from advertising with me, that would be great. I would even leave the front door open for you!
Simple. An ID3 tag-like technology could be developed to display ads in a media player. Media distributors could register an account and have all media they download and upload have a unique identifier attached to it, perhaps similar to the passkey used on private torrent sites. Uploads could be tracked and the money credited to the distributor's account.

Explain what exactly the RIAA did in the "Forest blog" bit.
I will cop to smearing those two dinosauresque organizations together, because their tactics are largely similar, they both rip off their consumers and rape the actual creative people they vampirically suck the life out of, and because I believe it'll benefit the industry if they both die.
The RIAA didn't do the blog thing he mentioned, sorry but nice try! Was the MPAA. And I fail to see how stealing that one blog's code justifies robbing the entire industry of millions of dollars.
See above.
And nowhere have I said it justifies piracy, genius. Don't try to assign points of view to me that I don't have. I've simply said that I cannot support them because I strongly disagree with their hypocrisy.
Oh, Ruckus didn't work Well, I suppose we should forget the whole thing then. I seem to recall hearing that the Allied invasion of Hong Kong in WW2 didn't work out so well, not did the raid on Dieppe. I guess we should have just let the Japanese and Germans take over the world eh?

You brought up the RIAA, not me. I don't think it justifies anything - I am probably the most anti-piracy of anyone on this site, you included, given you don't seem to mind the MPAA pirating software.
The point is that if they are going to take the moral high ground, they need to actually believe what they're saying, and practice what they preach. They didn't, and obviously intentionally did not; that makes them hypocrites, and not much better than the other pirates IMO. At least one person on the site, anyway (and whomever approved the blog's posting); but in America we hold corporations responsible for the actions of their employees, as will I.

I like your SNOOPY POSTER! - While you Wait quote.

"If you're going to combat thievery of IP, you yourself had best not be doing the same ****ty thing. Otherwise, you're even scummier than the original pirates you were trying to combat."
Calling the RIAA scummier than those who conspire to steal hundreds of millions of dollars from them, based on this one blog incident, is really classy.

Ruckus is more like an abortion than an invasion of Hong Kong. And yes it is best not to have more abortions.

The pirates steal a lot more than one guy's crappy code, so yes they are far worse. Also explain exactly what the MPAA did?

MAKE A POST THAT DOES NOT REFERENCE MONEY IN ANY WAY. PLEASE. NOW.
Bite me, Poly Rage Boy!
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

It's not like excusing that sort of hypocrisy is that classy either.

In 2nd grade, when you were saying what you wanted to be an adult, would 'investment banker' or 'stock whore' really be your response? No, you'd say interesting things, like politician, firefighter or even astronaut.

You've never actually stated in this thread what the RIAA or MPAA have done.
