    Results of inbreeding

    Inbreeding may result in a far higher phenotypic expression of deleterious recessive genes within a population than would normally be expected.[1] As a result, first-generation inbred individuals are more likely to show physical and health defects, including:

    * reduced fertility both in litter size and sperm viability
    * increased genetic disorders
    * fluctuating facial asymmetry
    * lower birth rate
    * higher infant mortality
    * slower growth rate
    * smaller adult size
    * loss of immune system function.
    So you do admit this is an eugenic policy? I mean we don’t want stupid, short, ugly (=asymmetry), sickly (=weak immunes system) people. And the state should try to enforce laws to prevent people who would have such children from having them.

        Where do you get the idea that most people want to have sex with family members?

          You might be a redneck if.... Your parents met at a family reunion.

          You might be a redneck if.... You look upon a family reunion as a chance to meet `Ms. Right'

              Common sense. Our sexual instincts don’t really differentiate our siblings from other males/females, perhaps there is a mechanism for offspring, am not sure. The point is socialization stops us, or even allows us to sublimate these desires or suppress them so we are not even aware of them,

              Listen there is a difference between:

              “It is not normal to want to sleep with your sister.”
              “It is not normal to know that you want to sleep with your sister.”

              See?

                And I am telling you that the line is not as clear as you think!

                I would describe it as neither becuase of the negative stigma attached to both words. But if I had to choose, I would choose common but harmless disease.

                  No wait minor disability might better describe it.

                    Right about what? That everyone is a homosexual. Certainly not.

                    I don't believe all that gobbly gook, but even if I did that doesn't disprove that you have to have a mental illness to want to sleep with family members.

                    That does mean anything, because most people don't want to sleep with family members. Look, Freud lived in a society that was severly ****ed up. This includes Freud himself. It didn't help that he took too many drugs. Get off that crazy ****.

                      Why?! And more importantly why is the fact that homosexual desires are common prove that?

                          This may shock you as well but:

                          Knowing that you want to sleep with your sister != sleeping with your sister

                          PS Also there are people who are not attracted to their sibblings because their sibblings aren't attractive.

                              It doesn’t but it doesn’t disprove you don’t have a mental illness for wanting to sleep with your cousin, or perhaps your female “just friend” or with a man.

                              We are not going to prove or disprove anything here. Such things should be done in labs and in studies. I’m just trying to show my explanation is more elegant and simpler.
