As far as I know, Spitzer wasn't enforcing the Fugitive Slave Act or anything similar.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Was he enforcing prostitution laws? Drug laws?

The analogy that you are drawing is tenuous at best. If you want to equate drug users, drug pushers, and prostitutes (all chosen lifestyles) with slaves (not chosen lifestyle), well... Let's just say that I know what side of the law I'm on. And you aren't on it.

You attack buddists and it is ok; but mentioning someone is hypocritical considering his supposed jewish faith is suddenly so inappropriate. You need some water, and are simply out of control.

Huh, it looks like he's just taking this lying down.

Must suck for him to have his nuts roasting like this in the limelight.

                Good Gawd, George Fox...

The papers quote Kristen and the woman who sent her on the job talking about a man believed to be Client 9, who might make requests of prostitutes “you might not think were safe.” But Kristen, according to the papers, was prepared: “I have a way of dealing with that,” she is quoted as having told the woman. “I’d be like, ‘Listen, dude, you really want the sex?’... You know what I mean.”
Court papers describe a round of phone calls, financial negotiations and an assignation at the Mayflower Hotel.

I'll attack any religion, I show no favourites.

Would you have mentioned Spitzer's faith if he was anything but jewish? Has he been forthcoming about his religion and the moral code he draws from it? Why was this a necessary bit of information in your rant?

"I was just following orders" I agreed to follow doesn't impress me as a morally defensible argument.
Its a good thing juries were there to jury nullify enforcement of bad laws back then.

The same reason it is necessary to mention priests who rape boys are religious, and that everyone loves to mention how republicans can solicit oral sex in bathroom stalls. I don't get why you're so sensitive when I say he's a Jew hypocrite when everyone gets off ranting on catholic hypocrites. Youre being a hypocrite just like everyone else

Tone it down folks... enough with the personal crap.
Discuss the topic. If you aren't going to be civil, take it somewhere else.
                        Keep on Civin'

Yeah, basically he did just because he wanted a hooker. Still, at least she's a woman and a consenting adult instead of a little boy or some random dude in a public restroom.

I'm not comparing the victims of society's "morality" and it dont matter if a lifestyle is chosen or not, freedom is freedom and slavery and prohibition are not. You say I should respect him for all the people he put in jail and I say he jailed many people who didn't deserve it.
