  • You're simply nutting all over the facts. Oerdin's main point, which was misleading but technically accurate is that 1995+6=2001 therefore 6 years without an attack (off by maybe 5 months or so, but generally accurate).

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

      • I don't think Bush will be blamed generally for 9/11, but I do think it's preposterous to say that the fact that no other major terrorist attacks happened on his watch will be a major positive down the line. "At least it was only 9/11" is hardly a compelling argument.

A good summary of DanS's position.

No, not by a long shot...I expect Bush's popularity will go up with time and historical perspective.

Just about EVERYTHING Carter did was a disaster.

                  • Well, conservatives do like to rewrite history to make their biggest losers into heroes. Look at Reagan.

And Bush...was good to Africa? Then again, I haven't read up on the Carter administration. From what I've heard, it involved a swimming attack rabbit and some malaise.
