A youth repellant: Awesome invention or step toward dictatorship
Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.

Ironically, The Mosquito has become an extremely popular ringtone for teens; they can hear texts coming in while in class, but their teachers can't.
Umm... vibrating cell phone does the same without any "special" ringtones.

It is an annoyance to teenagers and anyone younger.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
On second examination I guess I *can* hear all of the sounds through my speakers but there appears to be such a dramatic drop in apparent volume and annoyance for 21 khz and 22 khz that they almost seems silent by comparison. I imagine I could easily miss either sound if I weren't actively listening for them. Certainly I missed them the first time I "took the test". More importantly those two seemingly subtle and quiet noises would fail to repell me from an area. On the other hand I imagine they might give me a headache after a while the way some old CRTs would even though I wasn't always aware of the sounds the crts were making until I turned them on or off.

not a single person i know uses the mosquito, even though we discussed it in class like 2 years ago. we just keep our phones on silent and text all day. we don't need any notification.
I'm consitently stupid- Japher I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned
