It is an annoyance to teenagers and anyone younger.
So, even if you like the idea of sonic warfare vs. loitering teenagers, there is a flaw. A big one.

Wow, looks like with my headphones I am able to hear every frequency (although the ones at 20kHz and above are a little bit soft)
Haven´t any loudspeakers connected (well, never have) therefore I am not able to say if I would still be able to hear it via them

On second examination I guess I *can* hear all of the sounds through my speakers but there appears to be such a dramatic drop in apparent volume and annoyance for 21 khz and 22 khz that they almost seems silent by comparison. I imagine I could easily miss either sound if I weren't actively listening for them. Certainly I missed them the first time I "took the test". More importantly those two seemingly subtle and quiet noises would fail to repell me from an area. On the other hand I imagine they might give me a headache after a while the way some old CRTs would even though I wasn't always aware of the sounds the crts were making until I turned them on or off.Comment
