You people are more entertaining. And besides I wouldn't have thought of LTTE.

Ah yes, the inventors of the suicide bomb.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

You could call any group a political group. Their actions are what make them terroristic.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Based on the wiki write up, it sounds interesting but I'll have to add it to LTTE this weekend and see if I can come up with some serious info about it.

                Definitely LTTE

I'm surprised we haven't gotten a "US GOVERNMENT!" answer yet.

grog want tank...Grog Want Tank... GROG WANT TANK!

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

I'll be away this weekend, but if you're interested in A66, I can hook you up with some links, including a primary source.

You could do something unexpected and identify some "state terrorism"

Technically, state terrorism is redundant. Terrorism originally meant when the state terrorized its own people.

                        Che gave that answer already.

As the Elian Gonzalez media juggernaut began approaching warp speed over the past few weeks, some in Miami's Cuban-American community expressed displeasure with the portrait of them being painted by the press. The muffled grumbling became explicit on April 7 during Ted Koppel's Nightline "town meeting," beamed to the nation...

Now that I go and look at the Wikipedia page I see these all listed.

That doesn't make it per se redundant, unless someone would claim the - any - state is always doing this as one of its core functions, while non-state guys wouldn't do terrorism.

Ah. I hadn't heard of Alpha66. I've read Che's posts about anti-Castro Cubans in Florida, but wasn't familiar with that org. name.

                                N17.

I have a book somewhere which devotes a chapter on how the Greeks finally beat N17. Give me a day to remember where it is, and/or the author and title. ...the author is an American ex-diplomat, now living in Greece. Does anyone know who I'm talking about?

You'll be the only kid in class with a paper on a terrorist group that was defeated.
