Thanks. It's a crummy recording off of my hubby's walmart special headphones in our computer room that's full of stuff and I tripped over one of the chairs when I was recording. I also ran out of breath in each of the songs at one point but at least you can get an idea.

I'm thinking somewhere over the rainbow is the better of the two and so far the friends who've heard agree. So at this point it's 4 votes for rainbow.

And I had totally nothing to do with getting the download done that was all Captin Boooogaloooo (he came up with that name). He's a computer geek with a computer degree. Only reason he didn't do it sooner I think was cause while he's a long long time friend I think it brusied hubby's ego a bit Cause he came in and in about 15 minutes had it done. Which was no big deal to me, we all have limitations and things we're good at. Anyway let me know if I suck and will be on the reject reel.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing Captin Booogalooo on the boards very soon. And he really does look like a grown up Harry Potter complete with glasses and the hair only thing he's missing is the scar.

Hmmmmmmm now it really gets interesting. Most of the people who've heard the two seem to gravitate to rainbow. My friend of 35 years (since 7th grade) heard both with her husband and liked rainbow over grace.

Hmmm....... come on guys it's two days before the audition I have to make an affirmative decision by 10 pm tonight so that I can set my mind and concentrate on the one song. All I have is 1 minute 30 and one shot to do this.

You have a very beautiful voice, it was a pleasure listening to you sing. I liked your version of Over the Rainbow it was well done. However, I felt that Amazing Grace showcased your voice better. It was smoother and someone listening could get lost in it, and I think that might just be the extra kick in an audition.

Singing something familiar lets them focus on singing talent rather than subconsciously judging the material itself.

Amazing grace is fairly good. The first one is simply atrocious, what the hell, do your friends want you to fail? I suggest blocking them on facebook as soon as possible.
