PS This is the second board I've asked this question on and gotten a similar response. Is it something about the way I'm asking it that attracts the stupid answers?
Nope. The stupidy is all mine!

I'm sure they do. I don't care about them. I care about the idiots who've spent the last 7 years taking to the streets over every single GOP policy, but would now throw their vote away on Nader rather than voting to show the GOP the door, just because they want to preserve their sacred ideological virginity. There's nothing worse than people who spend all their time yammering about politics but lack the cajones to actually get dirty playing the game.

That's not really a reason for them to vote for the Democrats though.

Nader got half a percent of the vote in '04. Kerry has nowhere close to the appeal that Obama or Clinton have among Dems. Frankly, I'd be a lot more worried about third party candidates if I were Republican...

My post on the NPR blog on "Talk of the Nation".

"I would like to ask Mr. Nader does he realize just what he is doing to his reputation. He is going to be remembered as another William Jennings Bryatn. Instead of denying the fact he was the final nail in the coffin of the Al Gore's presidential campaign - not the primary reason he lost but one of many, ANY ONE OF WHICH WOULD HAVE PREVENTED GEORGE BUSH'S PRESIDENCY (long term Apolytoners know why I loathe Bush - very personal reason).

Why doesn't he instead do what the religious right did with the Republican party, and leverage his agenda into Democratic primaries. Today, almost no Republican dares run unless he or she runs on a "Family Values" program. Mr. Nader would have a larger and more long-lasting impact if he did this. Of course, this would ruin his image of the matryed and put-upon outsider, and he might have put aside some of his ego and actually learn that success word in American politics - compromise."

Was just lurking - 310 miles from family and alone at my inlaws with a vicious sinus infection and no SMAC - so I decided to look in. It's nice to know it hasn't changed all that much.

Back room deal. After the election McCain makes Nader his VP.

                              Wonder "gotcha" interview.

I hope Chris Matthews was listening to Barack Obama when he gave a long list of leglislative accomplishments.

                              By the way:
                              List Hillary's legislative accomplishments.
                              List McCain's leglislative accomplishments.
                              List Kerry's legislative accomplishments.
                              List John Edwards's legislative accomplishments.
List Sen. JFK or Sen. LBJ's legislative accomplishments.

                              Can't do it, can you?
