It still sounds stupid in context though.

Politicians say stupid stuff all the time. And the press is always going to report it. How they report it is always going to get a bias.

It did indeed sound stupid, but a later clarification on this one would have been easy. She could even joking mentioned how certain people had misconstrued what she was trying to say since she said it in a stupid way.
Apologize and restate your case, and try to get additional press about it. Hiding from it just makes people think there's more truth in the original accusations. Even if it's from FOX
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

There are always going to be idiots on the right AND left and there will always be right AND left media sources that will try to make them believe something.

She said something that taken out of context sounded stupid. She should just go on and clarify. That's the penalty for saying something stupid for either side.
BS. What left wing media? CNN? Some idiot the other day was telling me that Obama was a radical muslim. Then when I showed him a CNN source that showed that FOX made it up, he said that CNN was less honest than FOX?

Apologize? WTF?! All you have to do is listen to the whole speech to understand what she meant. Not even that. Just listen to a part of it.

You're naive if you think most of the media in the US is right wing. One example is meaningless.

            CBS ABC.

Polls of US journalists have show many times that they lean considerably farther left then most americans.

You also forgot to mention the love affair the staff of MSNBC is having with Obama.

lets say that right wing people on average are far more easily "deceived" by "their" media

She could apologize to people if they misunderstood her because she wasn't clear enough. Geeze

Good politicians do that all the time regardless of what they thought they said. It's not like they don't have profesional spin doctors on staff. Make a statement and move on. HIDING from things, even wrong accusations doesn't help. Because you're right, there are a lot of morons out there.

Ok, the right has their idiot wing (poor religious types)
and the left has their idiot wing too. (poor religious minorities) Anybody that votes for a person soley based on their skin color is an idiot, regardless if they're black or white. SO there are plenty of people on both sides that are easily fooled.

It's just the old "your either with us, or you're with the terrorists" garbage. Knee-jerk patriotism isn't just a feature of republicans, for that matter.

I agree with you Kid, that there is nothing wrong with what she said. To me, it sounded like she was saying

"I've been disappointed in the direction of our country for a long time."

(my own reasons would include: loss of standing/respect in the international community, growing apathy/pessimism of the people about their government, increasingly polarizing political dialogue, reelection of a warmonger president)

"the passion and excitement my husband has generated in his campaign by speaking of hope and change give me renewed faith in what is great about america and her people."

I personally consider myself pretty patriotic -- I think the U.S. is great. I was very lucky to be born here. Historically we've stood for a lot of good things. But I've also been disappointed over the past several years.

So, yeah, I don't think she needs to apologize, but she does need to clarify.
The undeserving maintain power by promoting hysteria.

The political leanings of the journalists themselves don't have much to do with it. You're claim seemed to be that there are comparable left wing counterparts to FOX news. I don't think CBS qualifies there. Also, there are no comparable left wing radio shows out there to the right wing radio shows.

Most of the media is ok. FOX definitely has an agenda. The other media doesn't have an agenda except just their business. FOX has no shame, and people like DD and Slowwhand don't care. They still listen to them.

Obama did exactly as he should have. He pointed the light back on who is really at fault, those who created this story. No apology necessary.

The person I talked to the other day who is convinced that Obama is a muslim is a poor black man who is voting for Hillary.

Other than our outlasting a economically malignant dictatorship, how did we win?

You people seem hung on Fox for some reason that I can't fathom. They didn't create the story nor did they force her to say what she did.
