No way. The mission was successful. It couldn't have been us.

          Intelligence agencies carrying out assassinations

I know its more or less in the job description… but that does not make it right. What’s next executing citizens for their crimes?

It's true. We should've sent the Israeli police force to arrest him inside syria! Brilliant!

I wonder why so many people are either dense or deliberately obtuse about the fact that countries such as Syria and Iran continue to harbor terrorists? I grant that Bush forever soiled such facts with his BS but, unlike Iraq, Iran and Syria actually do sponsor terrorism and have spent decades on the international list of state sponsors of terrorism.

If the Iranians or Syrians want to play that game then I say open season on them as well. Especially terrorists and government officials who sponsor terrorism. Cut the head off of those beasts.

By this act, the assassins wanted to cause fear and terror among Hizb Allah's members and Syrians

I'm not surprised you would have sympathy for this ***hole. You can take comfort in the fact the big brave Hez fighters will go slaughter some civilians in retaliation like the cowards they are.

                      Implicated?

Killings authorised by unnamed officials based on who knows what
                      Proper trials

A question for all the people who wellcomed this. What do you personally know about this case? Did you even hear this guy's name before (I certainly did not)? Why do you think that the guy deserved it?
Even disregarding his involvement in planning the embassy and barracks bombings (which you can't)...

There. Read up. He was on that plane.

                      Back to Beirut

The Beirut International Airport, surrounded by a Shia neighborhood, had no perimeter security and nearby residents could simply drive onto the runway. During this stop, the hijackers identified an American Navy diver, Robert Stethem, among the passengers. They beat him, shot him in the right temple, and dumped his body out of the plane onto the tarmac. Seven American passengers, who were alleged to have Jewish-sounding surnames, were taken off the jet by Hezbollah and sequestered in Beirut.[4]
No one alive in the US at that time will ever forget.

Lets take a look at this guy's career
US Embassy Bombing, Beirut, 1983, 63 dead
French Paratroops Bombing, Beirut, 1983, 58 dead
US Marine Barracks Bombing, Beirut, 1983, 241 dead
                        TWA 847 Hijacking, Athens, 1985, 1 (+?) dead
Israeli Embassy Bombing, Buenos Aires, 1992, 22 dead
Jewish Mutual Association Bombing, Buenos Aires, 1994, 85 dead
Plus a string of kidnappings, murders, weapons smuggling, etc for years in Lebanon.

                        As for proper trials,
Indicted by United States for TWA 847
Arrest warrant issued by Argentina for Israeli Embassy bombing

EU List of Most Wanted Terrorists
US List of Most Wanted Terrorists
The US has attempted to apprehend him at least three times, with two of those efforts failing due to lack of cooperation from the French and Saudi governments respectively.

In these cases there was at least enough information to indict him and place him on most wanted lists. What more do you suggest could reasonably have been done to bring him to justice?
