Hmm, I dunno about that. Sometimes when a larger company takes over a smaller one, it can give it leeway and flexibility to do what it does, and well.

The larger company still gains financially, and the smaller company's employees don't feel like they're being squeezed.

"Morals" is a touchy subject with corporations, precisely because in the legal definition, a corporate structure is supposed to give a shield of immunity from liability.

However, corporate ethics is currently a hot topic with the U.S. Government, especially post-Enron and post-Worldcom, so any allegations that corporations should be beyond the reach of any moral/ethical constraints is a bit of a stretch.

I'm thinking of writing a paper about a US corporation that goes to do business in another country. Does it have to abide by the rules of both countries? What if the rules are unidentical, or even worse, mutually contradictory?

This is however, EA we're talking about, not corporations in general.

And EA has a spotty record, being infamous for producing insipid games and also infamous for maltreatment of "human resources".

Nice to see they admitted their mistakes, time for them to change their model and hope for a better gaming future (especially for PC's).

And by "immoral" I think he really means "down to earth" as in, the company should be more public-relations-orientated, rather than infestation-orientated.
