        Well, I joined the Army at 17 (with my father's permission). I have since then completed 20 yrs of service (retired Feb 01) - but the fact still remains: A young adult can be told that it is his/her duty to put their life on the line for their country...but oops! "We're sorry, you are not 21 and not of legal age so you can not have that cocktail."

        I ask you, where is the sense in that?

                  Those are three different things - purchasing, consuming, and providing. I don't remember what CA's laws are, but they might not cover all 3.

                      Actually I would support moving the age to join the military to age 21 and leaving the age that kids can drink at 21. Not trying to be cute at all.
