State's rights died long ago, Cyclo. I'm glad to see you keeping the faith in "The Lost Cause" though.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

State's Rights has never died. If it had, there'd be no state laws, for one thing.

What happened to the States that had drinking ages lower than 21, Sloww?

State's Rights has never existed in my lifetime save as a tired old phrase trotted out to justify any policy under the sun that, lacking any other meaningful argument for it, has no other compelling justification. Lefties and Righties are quick to call "State's Rights" as soon as, and only if, it is advantageous to them at that particular moment. Anyone calling for State's Rights is either an opportunist, a dinosaur, or employing sarcasm.

Say you use it for anger managment. Is this actually a bad thing? Yeah, an excuse to get high, but if it actually helps you in this regard.... what is the freaking problem?

How is it any of our business anyway?

Oerdin, I dont buy into your claim that there are other drugs that work just as well. First, not everyone can take just any ol drug as you well know from the list of side effects on every ad we see on TV. Second, not every person reacts the same way and there aint NO WAY you can claim what works better for them.

I say that if you are old enough to fight and die for your country, you should be old enough to drink damn it!

I am all for lowering the drinking age to 18 (or 17 with permission from your parents-as with military service) - or on the flip-side, raise the age for military service to 21!
