Hey nice one Cort Haus I hope some of your luck rubs off on me! I'm at a second round interview over in Germany in the next week or so (the job is based in Crawley though), SAP consultant specialising in the pharma and life sciences industry. Almost double my current income too...I knew that experience would eventually pay off

Many thanks for the comments, guys.

wrt to the business-speak, at least I have so far avoided using the word 'impact' as a verb while at work. I fear, though, that resistance is futile. I also want to steer clear of the somewhat cringe-tastic expression 'moving forward', if that is humanly possible.

Nothing bad with the optimistic, forward-looking and proactive lingo, if there's an attitude to match

By not using those silly expressions, you'll be thinking outside the box, Cort.

I say moving forward quite often - I don't even notice it any more. I also frequently use impact as a verb.

Well we'll fly that idea up the flagpole and see who salutes

Sounds like blue sky thinking on a green field opportunity.

Do you have these kinds of buzzwords in Croatian?

Yeah. They're kind of surreal in the country which boasts such unique sayings as "they can't pay me as little as I can work" and "If you see someone resting, help him"

But the new generations not afflicted by the communist past are on par with the rest of the world in most everything, including the buzzwords.
