God only wants a 10% cut. What makes you more important than him, Kid?

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

What do you mean? God is making a profit from us? I thought God was just using our money to create investments for us that will multiply our riches.

I don't know why I have to repeat it. I watched the 700 club this morning and they said that if you donate tithes that you will get all of that back (in cash) and some return on your investment (quilte a bit). Is that not an economic theory? Why not?

Actually, as sad as it is, I didn't know if you would accept that as a reason to have importance.

There've been threads where I've felt that "cogito ergo sum" wouldn't have been enough for him to establish that

                        Not this one though

Let's try to keep this economics debate on the psuedo-science level instead of degrading to the philosophical level.

A priest, a pastor, and a rabbi were standing in a field where they found a large sum of money. The priest says, "Let's draw a circle in the ground. We'll throw the money up in the air. What falls outside the circle, we give to God." The pastor says, "No, no, no. We'll throw the money up in the air. What falls inside the circle, we give to God." The rabbi shakes his head and says, "No, We'll throw the money up in the air. What God wants, God keeps."

The rabbi's the only sensible one in the bunch. God doesn't need your money.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
