For some reason, this creeps me out.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

It's 'cause you're afraid that someday you might end up married to Ming.

Is it any better if she's not your fraternal twin but your little sister?

I suppose it works if you marry someone who is within 9 months but more than 2 days from your birth date.

The Japanese have this all figured out. Don't sweat it.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

That must be tough, happily married a couple years and then BAM you're genetically brother and sister.
            corrected.

Something's fishy about this story. Apart from being quite a stretch chance-wise in and of itself, you'd think that the couple would have started having some sort of realisation that something was up once they noticed they shared the exact same birthday (of which I figure they'd each have knowledge), which would have had to come pretty early on in their relationship.

I think it's a tailor-made attention grabber for the political agenda of changing adoption procedures.

Also, it's a bit too conformist for my taste, to be honest. It'd be far more interesting if they'd made it a menage-a-trois involving triplets..

Or maybe triplets can't be non-identical.. Minor detail, but just might explain it.

Frankly, this discovery probably made them giddy with excitement "We have so much in common! This is another sign we're meant to be together!"

Love can result in some pretty bad confirmation bias .

Natural (non-IVF) triplets are almost always composed of a pair of identicals plus a non-identical.

Siblings given up for adoption should be sent to vastly different places, for example the boy could be sent to a rural or even deserted area to live with relatives, the girl sent to sophisticated liberal city ware she would follow in the political dynasty of her adopted family. This would ensure that should they meet they don't have anything in common and don' fall for each other. But as a last case defense the boy should be have an older dashing roguish friend whom the girl would fall for instead.

P.S. Their should also be two droid companions one spunky and one cowardly for comedy relief throw in as well.
Companions the creator seeks, not corpses, not herds and believers. Fellow creators, the creator seeks - those who write new values on new tablets. Companions the creator seeks, and fellow harvesters; for everything about him is ripe for the harvest. - Thus spoke Zarathustra, Fredrick Nietzsche

I guess I can understand this. If I had a twin, he'd be damn sexy!

Imagine having to leave your wife because she turned out to be your sister? All your fond memories of doing the wild thing while standing on your head in the closet at the train station, or whatever, you get the idea, would change. These memories would have a different flavor to them all together.

What about telling your adoptive family that the marriage is over because your wife is your sister? Your new gf would always be asking "am I as good as your sister?"

                              It's freaky.

Yet another good reason to marry a Filipina! She definately isn't your sister.

That's what I thought, the odds are miniscule. However the link is to BBC so I don't know, could be true. If someone has bothered to research this more please post.
