Mobius, I think we've sort of become accustomed to having at least one ally in the Middle East whose citizens don't burn our flag once a month, and Israel's the only volunteer. It's a people-who-like-people thing, you wouldn't understand.Comment

The Palestinian state may well be a stepping stone for the destruction of Israel. The old paradigm of Israel as Cold War US stooge is long over. The old canard of Teh Joos dictating US policy is exposed as the falsehood it always was.
How many miles wide will Israel be at its narrowest point? How viable is such a state?Comment

IIRC Jimmy Carter did a great deal to persuade Israel to give back portions of its occupied territory, and I'm fairly sure that he directly addressed the Palestinian question on a number of occassions."I say shoot'em all and let God sort it out in the end!Comment
