Of course I am no law expert on this, but according to the puclicly available informations concerning application for german citizenship this seems to be correct.

As long as there wasn´t already a warrant of arrest against you at the the time when you applied for german citizenship. So even if years later your participation in these crimes is discovered and an warrant of arest is issued, your german citizenship won´t be revoked (although you can be sure that you´ll be tried for the crimes in germany and spend the rest of your life in prison).

As far as I know if an American citizen was in the US he cannot be extradited to any other country no matter if he was a citizen of that country at some time, such as when he commited the crime, or not. I know this from rather extensive reading of spy novels. The one that dealt with this particular scn iirc was Paul Erdman's 'Last Days of America'.

It's the same in Germany? As Etchy said, no surprise.

I guess if you don't care, it doesn't matter.
If I were running the German circus, I'd say, "Hell yes, take him". That's just me though.
          It's a disgrace.

And not to put too fine a point on it, yes, it's not very helpful as to the widespread Danish mild suspicion of Germans - and their underlying motives in foreign affairs matters.

I really can't think of an actual case.

The German's should hang him themselves. If they don't, the Danish should invade. Really though, if he's proven to be guilty the Germans should hang him.

The last german danish war in 1864 ended with gemany (Prussia and Austria-Hungary to be more exactly) conquering all of Jutland

Um, no, it didn't. I think you need to read up a bit.

Granted, it must get confusing with all that militant baggage of yours.

                    It did,
see July 14. in this entry:

In the resulting peace negotiations which were mediated by Britain however we returned a part of Jutland to danish rule.
Part of North-Schleswig went back to Denmark after WW1 however, when a referendum among the poeple living there was held, wether they should stay in the german Reich, or be a part of denmark.

I specifically refered to the last german-danish war. WW1 as well as WW2 were no wars between germany and denmark (O.K., well, germany did invade denmark in WW2, but the occupation went quick and more or less unbloody and if I read it correctly because the invasion happened so quickly there wasn´t even an official declaration of war by he danish government before all of denmark was occupied; so i think WW2 can be left out of the list of wars between denmark and germany ).

The last german danish war was that of 1864.

Well, if we would make it logical we could say, the german danish war of 1940 began on April 9. 1940 when german foces crossed the border and ended a few hours later on the same day, when the danish government surrendered
