And most survivors got very modest amounts from reparations, and some none at all. Most live modestly, and a few in poverty.

I really don't mind that there are people that "remembers" that pretty ordinary people didn't mind to commit atrocities.

That is actually a good thing to remember in the hope that it doesn't happen again. A good example is the former Yougoslavia where people wasn't reminded of such.
